Cross-linking

The procedure lasts from 30 to 60 minutes. Anaesthetic drops are administered into the eye, the epithelium of the cornea is removed, Riboflavine drops (vitamin B2) are put in your eye and activated by illumination with UVA light. A therapeutic lens is placed into the eye and removed after 5 days. You will be prescribed antibiotic eye drops. Patients have frequent follow-ups and a repeated corneal topography.
