Fundus Biomicroscopy – a detailed observation of the eye fundus

Biomicroscopy of the eye fundus is a valuable method for stereoscopic examination and assessment of normal elements and pathology of the eye fundus.
Through Goldman’s three mirror contact lenses different parts of the eye fundus can be visualized as well as the vitreous. The Goldman’s three mirror contact lens provides better examination of the upper and lower periphery of the eye fundus (observation is binocular) than of the side periphery (observation is monocular).

Panfundoscopic lens examination is a contact variety for indirect biomicroscopic eye examination. The panfundoscope offers a wide angle view of the eye fundus extending to the equatorial region. Observation is stereoscopic.
