Pachymetry (measuring the thickness of the cornea)

Pachymetry is the method for measuring the thickness of the cornea in a single point (central corneal thickness) and in several points (a topographic map). It is done to all patients with glaucoma and suspicion of glaucoma; before laser correction of short-sightedness, long-sightedness and astigmatism; to patients with corneal diseases – keratoconus, keratoglobus.
